The service
These terms apply to Chat with Notes, operated by Tashfeen Ahmed, including the iPhone app, website, and API. By using the service, you agree to these terms and acknowledge the privacy policy. Contact tashfeen@black.com.pk with questions.
The app is currently distributed as an invitation-only TestFlight beta. Features, limits, availability, and compatibility may change. You must meet applicable age requirements and comply with Apple’s terms for your device and TestFlight.
Your content and permissions
You retain ownership of your notes and other content. You give us permission to host, index, transmit to the disclosed AI providers, and process the content you import or send only as needed to operate the requested features and protect the service.
Only import content you have the right to use and share with these services. Avoid importing information you do not want processed in the cloud. The app cannot access your whole Notes library directly; imports and optional automatic refresh run through the iPhone Shortcut.
AI answers and limitations
AI answers may be incomplete or incorrect, even when they include sources. Check important details against your original notes. Answers are not professional medical, legal, financial, or other regulated advice. Do not rely on them for emergencies or consequential decisions.
Search covers the notes you have imported, not every note on your device. Attachments and locked notes are not supported. The service is not a backup for Apple Notes, and changes or deletions in Apple Notes may not be reflected until an import or an explicit disconnection.
Account access and acceptable use
The beta uses a device-linked account. Keep control of your iPhone and do not share your authenticated session or connection credentials. Account recovery and cross-device transfer are limited in the beta.
Do not use the service for unlawful activity, infringe others’ rights, upload harmful code, probe other accounts, circumvent usage limits, or disrupt the service. We may limit or suspend access to address misuse, security risks, or legal requirements.
Subscriptions and AI allowance
Your first two successfully completed AI replies are free. After that, Chat with Notes Plus is required to continue chatting. Plus is one service tier, billed monthly or yearly. US prices are $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year; Apple shows your localized price, applicable taxes, and billing period before confirmation. The yearly price is charged in full, not in monthly installments.
Both billing options include 100 AI credits each month, equal to a $3 USD AI-processing allowance including our standard OpenRouter credit-purchase fee. Credit use follows actual provider charges, including input, output and reasoning tokens, agent search iterations, and daily suggestions. Longer notes and complex questions can use more credits. Brief reservations may remain while interrupted requests are reconciled with the provider. An unfinished or stopped answer does not use one of the two free replies, but processing already performed can use a subscriber’s AI allowance.
Credits refresh on the monthly anniversary of the original subscription purchase, including for yearly subscribers, and do not roll over. If that day is absent in a month, the last day of the month is used. Switching billing periods, restoring a purchase, or recreating an account does not grant an extra allowance. Credits are not money, transferable, or redeemable for cash. When the allowance is insufficient for another request, you can view existing notes and chats and wait for the next refresh. Plus does not provide unlimited AI usage.
Apple charges your account at confirmation. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Manage or cancel at Apple subscription settings. Cancellation normally leaves access available until the paid period ends, subject to the remaining allowance. Refunds are handled by Apple. Deleting your app or Chat with Notes account does not cancel your Apple subscription.
Use Restore purchases with the Apple Account that purchased Plus. An explicit restore can move Plus access to your current Chat with Notes account; it does not move imported notes or chats from another account. TestFlight purchases run in Apple’s sandbox, are not real charges, and do not carry over to a production App Store subscription.
Ending use and deleting data
You can stop using the service at any time. Use Settings → Delete account to remove your active account and associated app data. Your original Apple Notes remain unchanged. See account-deletion instructions for details and support options.
We may change or discontinue the beta. Where practical, we will provide notice of a material change or closure. Keep your originals in Apple Notes; do not use the service as your sole copy of important information.
Service availability and your legal rights
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the beta is provided as available without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation or error-free answers. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or limits consumer or data-protection rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
These terms supplement Apple’s applicable platform terms and the Apple standard licensed application end-user agreement. We may update these terms as the service develops; material changes will be communicated through an appropriate service notice.
